I left my bike sit for 2 weeks and my battery died.

I tried to charge it and it will not take a charge.

When turning the key, there is nothing, no lights or anything.

Has anyone had this problem?
Any ideas or recommendation?

Thank you so much for you help.

If you couldn't find the other threads on here I will help.

-Make sure you do not turn the key past steering lock into the "park" position.

-There are those who did not do the above and had same luck as you.

-Fear not, have the guys at superbike unlimited get you a speedcell battery. Use my promo 2015r1m2017 for free shipping.

SBU will turn that frown upside down

If it won take a charge, you’re done in my experience. Look to upgrade or replace.

I haven’t had the same problem, but I just only recently found the “park” position for the key. Always pulled it out after the lock. I didn’t find it till last night, which was after 2 years on the new 1.

/end hijack: What is “park” used for?

My bike was set up for track only for the first 2500 miles and I started it every week but still ended up replacing the battery around 2800 miles. You need to start it atleast once a week if its not ridden. Or keep it on a battery tender.

I was using a battery tender for a motorcycle and it would charge the battery sufficiently. I think it drains more power than it's charging. I switch over to a car battery charger and tender and now it stores the battery sufficiently and starts right up.

My thoughts are they is a discharge more than what a motorcycle battery tender can keep up with. Once I switch over to a larger car tender, the battery is now back to normal charge.

Hope that helps.

However I do need to get the battery drainage take care of.

Do I need to take that into the dealer anyone?

Thank you in advance!
