Motorcycle.com has an article reporting the changes for the '25 R1 including Carbon Fiber Winglets, Brembo Stylema Calipers and Radial Master Cylinder, revised fork adjustments and coatings/colors etc.. $18,999 retail looks sweet

I’ve ridden the stylema on the Ducs and they are superb!
‘It’s about time Yammie!
i've heard the opposite from some factory RSV4 riders on similar calipers..
so there's always pros n' cons, i'm sure some will buy the new Yammi
versions, used.. and thats perfectly fine lol

If it doesn’t have at least 15 more ponies…. Meh
unless they increase cubic capacity, i dont see where this would come from.

mechanically speaking that is.. you're comparing a 20k bike to a 35k or 40k motorcycle

but (as posted elsewhere) you can do a simple head-valve job n' slap on a

proper set of cam-shafts for a good (plus) 20 ish hp... (213-215bhp) not too shabby :D

what i mean is, while I understand there are restrictions to certain classes
but (since a lot of us dont have access), these are still road bikes, sold to be
ridden on the road/track.. But we've known for years, these bikes (yamaha in
particular) do respond rather well to 'essential mods'.. Dano's performance
prices the above at about $3500 bucks, plus labor..

I dont think that is unreasonable. I could be wrong, but

as far as i'm concerned, thats plenty of HP for your avg road/track junkie..

among mere mortals of course ;)

There will be engine updates in the years to come. Yamaha has until 2027 with the current homogolation system in Europe. If the outside markets continue to buy the r1, we will definitely have a new motor and the maybe the US will spearhead any homogolation after 2027. But it is confirmed that the r1 will continue to see development.
