2nd track day on LE(update high sided)
Well, I managed to keep the rubber down during my last track day at Road America, going to try again tomorrow. You get a whole new appreciation for the riding capabilities of AMA riders after you actually ride that track. It's a very fast race track. I was hitting 176-180 indicated on the front straight last time, at that speed 1 second makes a big difference coming into turn one. Turn 5 coming down the hill at 155 into a hard left, then up the hill into a blind left.... Man that track is fun but dangerous. The smaller tracks tend to keep speeds down so a second or two miss calculation doesn't have as much effect. I really need to get better at brake markers, but that's what track days are for. Here's a couple pics of my bike #480 ready to roll. I wish you could keep them like this and ride the street, it looks so much cleaner.
On a different thought. One thing I don't like about the LE. man these wheels are a pain to clean!! I can't get my hand up in there to clean the front.
