It's all good.

Is anyone going to get mad that this was in the "general motorcycle discussion" section?

I can make it about about motorcycles......

I changed my oil in my new baby R1 today. 167 miles. I have been advised to change it early (not just at 600 miles like the manual says). yes, I did read the owners manual....it makes me feel like I should go and buy a torque wrench. :fact
And I burned my hand on the hot pipes while putting the lower fairing back on.....oops. :( it's not bad though....

And no, I did not wear my bathing suit while changing the oil........so just get that thought out of your head right now......:lol

WOW, good looks, a good sense of humor, and works on her own bike ..... I am impressed. You will fit into this little community perfect. Have fun and next time let the bike cool down a bit prior to working on it ...... that way you can avoid burning yourself. Post away .... :beer

Jims2000R1--actually, I was following the owners manual :fact by running the engine for a few minutes after putting the new oil in, to check that nothing was leaking.....that's where having a torque wrench would have been good...I could have torqued the filter and oil drain plug to specs and not had to worry about it. I was too impatient to wait for it to cool before putting the fairing back on.

R1 Madness- even if I was...check my occupation.....:boobies hahaha....
