Four motorcycles crash on mountain

By: North County Times -

PALOMAR MOUNTAIN ---- Three crashes involving four motorcycles happened within an hour of each other Sunday afternoon on Palomar Mountain, injuring two people, a California Highway Patrol dispatcher said.

The first crash, involving two motorcycles, occurred around 1 p.m. on South Grade Road near mile marker 46, the dispatcher said. A second crash, involving one motorcycle, occurred shortly after that at mile marker 42, and the third crash took place at 1:45 p.m. near mile marker 44, the CHP reported.

A Heartland Fire Department dispatcher, Karrie Johnston, said that the crashes had resulted in two minor injuries and that the injured riders were taken by ambulance to Palomar Hospital.

"We treated one of the single motorcycle accidents and it seemed like he might have had a broken arm," said Valley Center Paramedic Wesley Megee. "He was wearing all of the safety gear and a helmet, so that helped to minimize the injuries."

Palomar is very technical IMO...Corners are very tight with decreasing radius. Just looking at the overhead shot gives me chills...fun though...:D

I wish I can get out there more often but its kind of a far ride from North OC.
