Holy sheep shit, I allmost shit myself today. I know, some of you probably wish I did:lol But, as I was sitting at a traffic light minding my own business, beside me I hear a nice growling, no, actually roaring of exhaust notes and glance over to see a couple punks in a mustang just egging me on for a race I persume.? I nod my head and say go for it punks, make my day, and blip my throddle to show I'm game. I thought I'd let 'em get a couple second head start to make them feel good and then lay the Akro/R1 Smack down on 'em. So light turns green and their off, screech goes their tires as smoke billows from their rear, and I'm still in neutral just shaking my head and laughing. Well I then click into first and twist my wrist and think to myself who bad I'm going to make them look.
Their now about 50 ft in front of me which will be perfect for me to catch up, click into 2nd gear and then loft a big minger(wheelie) as I pass them waving in glee and watch them sob because their big V-8 just got crushed :) Well all was great, I was giving her the juice and she was screaming, snick into 2nd gear and almost caught up to them allready, and then I say ohh yeah here it comes, big wheelie action until 4 gear Woohhooo, I slam all the throddle shes got and Slam, Slam, Slam, Slam, my arms are all over the place, 'I got a Tank Slapper From Hell' and I'm going to hit their damn car! ARRRGGGHHHH, I got off the throddle a bit and held on and she came out just in time for me to weave around them and scare the piss out of them :) Of course they may not realize what just happened with me and that I just had the shit scared out of me to:confused:
Here's the thing though, I have an Ohlins Damper, so first thing I though is that I maybe I set the setting down on it becuase I just had it off my bike a couple days ago when I changed my plugs and re lubed it. I useally run with it at 14-15 clicks so it useally keeps my front nice and stable. So, when I get home I check it out and relize the setting is right at 14 clicks, just 6 short off max. I say hmmm, and look at my new tires I just put on 2 weeks ago. I squeeze the rear tire and it's really firm, and then squeeze the front and my fingers sink into the rubber! eeggaaddddssss, my Front tire pressure was 13psi !!! WTF? I just put new tires on and I had it set at 34psi? No wonder my front end felt weird all day and I had the Tank Slapper From Hell!!
So a little moral of this story, Always check your tire pressure.. Go right now and due it. I mean it!! Go!!

I still don't know how the pressure got down? I can't find any leaks and it's holding pressure now, hhhmmm, maybe its the new gixxer guy down the street:lol :lol

I was on I-95 south doing about 130 mph at about 2 am.
I was going around a curve in the road and my bike
would not lean!! I went across 3 lanes and
almost hit the rail. (luckily I was the only one
on the road)
After I stopped I noticed my front tire was low. MY wife
came with the truck and I took the bike home.
There was no leaks and I was about to buy a new tire just
to be sure when my mechanic told me that my tire lost
air because I didn't have a cap on my valve stem.
He said that while the tire is spinning the centrifical
force pulls down the valve core and lets out the air:confused: I don't know how true it is but it never
went flat after that.:thumbup

I heard that without the airvalvestem cover you lose alot of air.

I never feel comfortable riding unless I know the psi on my tires. You've only got two tires you know.

Before I go riding I always give the tires a good firm squeeze to verify the pressure and glance at my chain and sprocket. :thumbup
How does 32-34 psi feel? j/k I know what you mean, there is an unbelievable difference between even 28 and 34 psi. I found that out earlier this year. I lube my chain every time that I leave the house.

Someone told a friend of mine that it is not good to over lube the chain!!!:bs
