Advice on replacing the stator on my 99' R1

Spend a little money and buy the correct puller for the rotor. It'll save you a lot of money, time and effort in the long run. The rotor is held on by a taper on the end of the Crankshaft. When it breaks away, it does so with a BANG!!! Other than that, the job is a piece of cake!
I can't remember if you lose any oil when you remove the cover, I don't think you do, but if so, does it matter? Oil is cheap in America! LOL
Get your existing stator rewound. Much cheaper!
