I was thinking of listening to my MP3 player while riding but, I was thinking it could be hazardous? Any opinions?

:p hmmm.. well... it depends on your character. lol. When i listen to music, depending on what kind of music im listening too, it gets me acting crazy. And all forbid a cage pisses me off in some way, im more suseptable to retaliate. :lol

Anytime I ride I wear soft ear plugs to cut down on high frequency noises. You really hear things better. So I figured ear buds would work and I could listen to my radio. I hear about anything now that i did before...I don't have the volume blasting though.

Besides being hazardous you won't be able to hear your bike. The only way I could ever listen to music would be on a boring hwy trip. Lots of guys ride with earplugs, you'd probably ruin your ears cranking the tunes up louder than the bike.

i agree man. i tend to get a bit aggressive when listening to the right music. and if i was riding, that's the kind of music i would want to listen to. probably not the best idea...

:D gotta have my mp3 player with me kickin jams.....I don't listen to any hard rock or anything like that---so my music puts me in a good laid back mood while I bob my head back and forth.

I know that sometimes while I'm at a light, practically dancing on the r-1----folks think I'm crazy cuz they don't know I've got ear plugs in:lol

Not saying that it's for everybody....just works for me:hellobye

I listen to music about 99% of the time that I ride. It is never louder that the bike though.

I have also found that MiniDisc is the way to go, 5 hours of music on a $2 disc, and 54 hours of play time on 1 AA battery. What else do you need.:rock

I prefer to sing, really loudly.. shout, infact. It's a hoot when you pull up at some lights or a stop sign from 45 mins of straight riding, and notice everyone looking at you strangely... because you've fogotten to lower the voice.

I love listening to my mp3 player while carving the twisties or on a boring hwy trip. Havn't said that I never listen to music while going through city/busy traffic because I can't concentrate on the cars around me as much.

I ran off the road listening to my walkman (10 years ago) while performing some spirited riding with a friend, it just distracted me too much and I slammed into a rock wall, I was stuffed and the bike too but the walkman kept playing, and the song at the time - Melissa Etheridge - Somebody bring me some water:bash :lol

Definitely :rock Lotta laid back stuff though, shit that makes you feel good but doesn't make ya wanna rip down a 50 zone at about 120. For me that'd be the older stuff, Eagles, Clapton, yadda yadda. If some Disturbed was in there though, there'd be reason to worry.

It depends on where I'm riding and what kind of riding I'm doing. Cause if I'm out of traffic on the back roads hitting some curves the right music puts me in a zone to wick it up a bit.
