I would like to find someone with Helibars on their R1 in/near Wisconsin and wouldn't mind showing them off.

I would really like to see them on an R1 (I have seen pics) before investing in them (I know about the 30 day and may do that).

I am also looking into Convertibars and Cycle Cats.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

I put Speiglar Superbike Bars on my bike. It's a kit that includes a new upper triple tree, risers and your choice of bars. I have aluminum motocross bars on my bike and they are the ticket. I can ride forever...3-400 mile days are easy and I rode a 780 mile day one time. Oh...I forgot, a 5,300 mile trip across America!

Heli bars

I have a set on my 03 and spoke with Helibars last week about the o4s....You really can't see a difference but you will feel it....I could not ride my 03 with stock bars for more than an hour...it was simply killing my wrists...now I can ride all day...Sun I rode to the Gatornations,...a toatl of 400 miles with absolutely no problems in my arms or wrists...the position is great!:rock

ZRider,

Thanks, I saw the review in Cycle World. Sounded cool but I don't want to be quite that far up. Thanks though.

contender23,

Thanks for the info. Yeah it seems like a very small visual difference. But I am glad to read what you are saying. I'm good for about an hour as well, but for me its my neck and lower back. I don't put much weight on my hands.

I will probably try the helibars first. Does it take a lot of stress off your back and neck? Seems like it might if you are going 400 miles (wow).

Appreciated :rock

I have Helibars on my 02 and ride to Ohio (500 miles one way) over a weekend, several times a year.
I usually ride up Friday after work, and then back on Sunday afternoon and the Helibars made this trip so much more comfortable.
There is a tremendous difference between stock and Helibars - they did not screw the looks of the R1 at all - they are the best mod I've done!

ive had my helibars about 7months. between them and the corbin seat, i can do 500mi a day with out any pain. before i had a problem doing 100mi. i was concerned about how they would change the looks, but they look pretty close to stock to me. i only
have a pic from behind. hope it gives you an idea of the look. if you want a different angle let me know and ill get you some other pics.
