Those of you that use one, what kind do you have? Been using a cheap drawstring backpack, but I'm on my second one and it's starting to rip.

Planning on buying a real backpack soon, so curious what you guys use.

I started wearing one of these on my longer rides, and it's amazing how much staying hydrated cuts down on fatigue. Not the best backpack, but definitely good in combination with a decent tankbag.

They look awesome Ben. I like how they don't have a strap around the waist, exactly where you don't want one rubbing on the tank/tank pad.

Bookmarked for when my camel kicks the bucket.

It's like putting a parachute on! And the clips are designed with gloves in mind, and very easy to use. :hammer:
going by your current hiatus, i guess its really not too much like putting on a parachute though is it!?? :bash

j.k / i had to.. :crash

hey cloSE2Reality... seriously!?? i get it..
but can you please post a smaller version of that!? :no

i currently use a knox six pack which has been great and very comfy, but I definately have my eye on the kreiga ones (r25 or r35) as they look awesome, but finding it hard to stomach the pricetag.

I used a draw string pack for the longest time, been trying to find an across-the-shoulder type that clips in the front, seems so much easier for on and off.

coleman 38L from walmart. side straps and base pockets, 2.2L bladder system, all the zippers have rubber loops on the end so they're friendly towards gloves. it's served me very well for years and tens of thousands of miles of riding but is finally starting to fall apart. i'd highly recommend it and you can't beat it for the price (sub 50 dollars).

Kriega R25 for long trips, school, and my new favorite R15 for everyday use. I'm only 5'4" so the R25 isn't snug unless I have it packed, so I got the R15. Expensive but worth it!

hahaha fancy back packs. I've got a Nike backpack that works just fine for me. Prior to that had a Northface and that worked well.

I use the Icon Milspec Backpack (minus the arm straps) cause it complies with getting on military bases without having to use a vest and has the convenient ID holder. It's decent and comfortable, ridden with it for multiple hours, 8 hours being the most. However it seems bulky at times and I know there's better stuff out there (like those Kriegas I just learned about). Other times, I've used my Jansport which is big enough to fit a 12 pack.

I have the orange one and both my ID holders flew off... once with my CAC in it... found out when i got to the gate... I dont know if they changed the design when they changed the color but the orange one is not comfortable imo

I have 2 icons... I have the mil spec one (for work) and the tank bag/backpack... mil spec one is not very comfortable and the tankbag is very comfortable when worn as a backpack... big negative on both is the price

The only backpack that is CE Level 2 certified as a back protector, I've carried computers, photography gear, firearms and it's waterproof with a bunch of other accessories available:

Try using the Axio backpacks, I have one and really does its job. Has a laptop sleeve that can fit up to a 17" Mac book.
