Now I feel I can come over and chat with you guys without feelin' like a poser. But...hmmm...then again, I do moderate for Shane on the R6 side...so am I now a poser over there?! Ack! Dilemmas! lol But yeah, I'll still hang over there and keep policing things and whatnot, but I'm definitely going to start learning the ins and outs of this baby...so freakin' happy I finally got one. I've wanted one for about three years now. Not that I wasn't pleased with the six...just was ready to move on!

RIP (kinda...she'll make somebody happy)

Wish I could! She'll find a new home, for sure, but unfortunately you'll have to head to Bartow Powersports in Cartersville, GA if you want to adopt her. :flex:

congrats, that's a beautiful bike, love this color scheme :fact
Thanks! Yeah, it wasn't my color of choice, but it's definitely growing on me!

you should ride around 285 a couple of times and then you'll be ready by the weekend
Ack! Who let you over here! LOL Yeah, I took the weak route today: I rode her to work Monday and yesterday, but my ass is so whooped from riding and work that I took the car today. She's sittin' at 306mi right now...

Question: Would it be a viable option to do the break-in oil change at 500mi and ride her easy 'til 1000mi as opposed to 600mi/1000mi?

Any opinions would be appricated!

Rules for R1 break in!! Ride it hard. Change the oil. Keep riding it hard!!

Did you pick up the R1 here in GA? I'm looking at all the dealerships to see who has the best deals on the 09/10 model. Prefer the blk 10 but $ talks.

Great color choice!
'preciate it! :tocoo:

Well, she took her first bath last night, under the boom and flash of thunder and lightning and rain outside, in the middle of the garage. She seemed to enjoy it... lol

It's wierd washing a new bike for the first time. I swear, you learn nooks and crannys you never knew were there! I also learned that new headlight design just loves to swallow up giant fly-bee-wasp things...bitch to get out! :fact
