Don't waste your time/money. That thing is old news. I can't remember what the thread was around here, but to sum it up: the thing won't help your power, it is loud as *****... and not in a good way, just too loud, there are no maps for it, it'll melt your boots, and if you really want one, you could probably fabricate one for yourself in a day.

i ran one on my bike for a while, it doesn't melt your boots or shoes. in fact i never felt the heat from it at all and i wear tennis shoes when i ride. there are no maps for it but it doens't rob power and if you need more power than your r1 already has then i envy your skills. as far as fabbing one, i suppose you could if you had a welder and you were skillfull at fabbing stuff, but i wasn't so i bought the pipe. it is loud, very loud, but not when you're tooling around town, more when you're on it...and then i suppose you could just wear earplugs. it was too loud for me after a while so put the stock exhaust back on. but it does look awesome and it sounds pretty damn good to me. it's really personal preference. i loved the way it looked and sounded, just not when i was practicing wheelies and trying to be quiet and not draw attention to myself.

I think it looks awesome, especially the unobstructed view of the entire swingarm and rear wheel. For those who have seen or heard one, how loud is it?

i already replied and said how it is to run the pipe...look furthur up the post. i painted mine black to match the swingarm and frame of my bike. it looks alright but it was a rush job with spray paint. 408reckless, save yourself some money...it's gonna cost 245 or so on the site. i don't run mine anymore and i'm selling my bike, if you want the pipe cheap to try out let me know and we'll work something out.
p.s. work on your wheelies man...they've gotta be worse than mine to be knocking the pipe loose. :crash

My landings are clean

Wll my landings are smooth, the time that happens is when morons come up on a wheelie on front of me and bring it down right away. or when i see a cop and i slam it down. The landings arent that bad, i took the pipe apart one time (including headers) and i forgot to put a screw at the end of the headers whic supports the slip on, all that riding caused the inner mesh lining of the slip off to tear and thats why it comes off so easly

Well I saw the price and i think its ridiculous, id rather buy 4 used stock pipes for that price.

E-bay always has used pipes. I bought a 2002 take-off, and came good as new. I think I paid $65 including shipping.

Does it looes ponies or not, the site claims an increase in ponies, and shows a Dyno run. Now I realize anything can be printed to show whatever they want, however where is the claim of reduced horsepower coming from?
