It will be a cold day in Hades before you see an M1 sold to the general public. What you will see is technology developed for the M1 incorporated into the sportbikes Yamaha produces.

The GP bikes are always testing/proving grounds for new technology in pursuit of the most awesome machines.

As far as I know, only 1 person outside of the Yamaha Corporation owns a Yamaha M1, that would be Rossi himself, a well deserved gift for what he's done for Yamaha's GP program.

Don't forget the M1 has reinforced, cross drilled, anodized carbon rotator spools...That's why it's so much faster. Too bad slip ons are so expensive for it, otherewise I'd have one for my daily commute to Hawaii

the m1 also doesn't have a kickstand, so if you plan on going out with that thing, you gotta pack a swingarm stand when you park and stuff
