A few folks here and there have been asking to see pics of my project (still in progress) and the bike is at the point where it resembles a motorcycle again, so I thought I would post a few pictures.
If you enjoy what's been done so far, great, if not, I won't automatically label you a hater or anything immature like that, everyone has their own tastes. The intent of the bike is to pull double-duty on the street and track in 2005, and then switch to full-time track duty in 2006.
This project began back in October of last year and has involved a number of folks who I would like to thank for their assistance, support and feedback.
The Godfather (Shane) and Chad at Tobefast.com - it started so innocently - just a seat cowl - look what happened!
JG1 (John) - You have what I call a "reference bike" - it's absolutely fantastic! Thanks for your feedback.
Last but not least, this project would not have been remotely possible without Ross at Eastern Motorcycles. The attention to detail was staggering; the patience with all of my questions and requests was immeasurable; the result speaks for itself. I can't imagine working with anyone else on the planet on this.
The project is about 80% done. I'll post more pics in the upcoming days as the rest of the mods get installed. As it stands, here's what is on the bike now (this is not the complete list!):
