Man, I used to think the gixxers were ugly. But, I would like to thank you for that picture post to confirm my thoughts! :finger No, seriously, It's not that the gixxer looks like the hunchback of Notre Dame, It (IMO) does not look as good as the R1. Can't we just stop with all of this Gixxer/R1 debate. They are both excellent bikes, and we know which bike everyone prefers by what they own. Like I said before, all sportbikes :rock C-YA

Best looking bikes IMHO(first to last): 2000-2001 R1, 2002 R1, CBR 954, 2002 GSXR 1000, Agusta(spell?) Ducati. IMHO I think all these bikes have things that make them look good and stuff that makes them look bad. Cept the 2000-2001 R1. Have yet to find ANYTHING I don't like about it. All these bikes are fast in there own right and look cool. Lets stop with the debate over what looks the best or is the fastest. We all are brothers(and sisters) regardless of what bike we ride(as long as it's a sportbike). Ever go on a run with other riders? Do they all ride the same bike as you?? Probably not. We all bought the bikes we own because they please US. Not so they please others. So lets all get on our bikes and go ride in the wind together as brothers and sisters.

It doesn't flow like an R1. It just does not have the look, something about it. It seems dull. But to each there own. Just my humble opinion. :(

Nice bike with $$$$$ parts. Love Marchesini's, bit I HATE black wheels on bikes. (except the new silver R1 ;) ) Of course, the white marchesini's wouldn't have looked any better. Personally I would've stuck with the stock silver wheels. I doubt anyone can ride hard enough on the street to really need the weight difference marchesinis make. Anyway, nice bike.

Ohhh...that gixxer1000 is a sexy fucker...the reason being is because the owner pimped it out. The Marchesinis are sick...as well as the rotors and exhaust...If I have a gixxer1000 I would bet it would look a lot like that bike.

I actualy have a set of Marchesinis coming for my whip. I used to have a black set on my 996 (RIP). Any black rim on a bike looks basass, well...actually on a car too. Black rims look badass on ANYTHING.

just my .02.

Yes,
Black rims are serious raw bone. They scream "ride me hard and put me up wet". Most race vechicles sport some redention od black rims (F-1, CART, Nascar) and my pimped ass 2001 R-1 is no different. Oh, hell yea-ride like the wind and peace!!!!!:rock :machinegu

Gold looks good too!!!

Wow...somebody put THAT much $$ into a GSX-R.
They are great for racing...but sex-appeal machines they are not. Japanese finally got it right and are competing with the likes of the Italians with the newest R1's. The most gorgeous thing to roll outta Japan IMHO. Oh, and someone made a GREAT point about the stickers not even lining up correctly on the seat cowl! Doesn't surprize me one bit....now what about the guy that re-financed his house for that bike? ;)
