Forgive me, I have sinned...

I sold my R1:banghead:

I don't really remember how it happened, but i ended up with a ZX. It's a cool bike, and goes like a rocket, but it sure isn't the R1. It's a boat compared to the r1, but handles alright around town and on the clover leaves. I never got a knee down, so the handling loss isn't too dramatic for my skills. The biggest downer is the exhaust, two gigantic silver cans, that give me no sound. my R1 had some parts and sounded awesome, it's almost hard to tell what rpm i,m at with this thing. I pulled the flies already, and my pc3 will be here tomorrow or wednesday, so the low end will be what you'd expect from a 1349, it was weak under 4.5k.

I don't think it's seller/buyer's remorse, as much as just a deep longing for the raven R1. The r1 was my first bike(i know), and i really will miss it. I think i'll just have to drag the zx, and buy another R1:epimp

I'll get another R1 in due time, don't worry. I think overall i like the R1 more than the zx, but live and learn i guess. It may have been that i was just more accustomed to the R1. I'll have to an 09 in a few years when it's more in my price range. Yamaha is still on top in my mind.

It's a unique appeal. I do miss the digital speedo, the analog is taking time to get used to. It's fast, but doesn't feel as fast as it is. The fuel gauge, and the gear position indicator are nice though. It's big and all, but the girlies seem to like the bigger back seat more than they did on the r1:sneaky

They say once you find THE bike, you'll know it. I had a gix600, grew out of that fast and got my '06 R1. The wife took over the Gix and decided she didn't like it anymore so she jumped to a 2006 ZX14 LE which she loved. I loved it too but I also enjoyed my R1. More and more I found myself riding her biek to and from work so I decided to get a Busa so we didn't have the same bike. I kept the Busa for about 2 months, only put 800 miles on it because I hated it and traded it for a same year ZX14 LE.

Bottom line, I loved the ZX14 and if I ever ride again will deffinetly have one in the garage. I love the comfort of it and I loved the digital speedo. I could ride the ZX14 500miles in a day (i've done it twice) and not feel any worse than if I had ridden the same distance in a car. I drove my R1 200miles once and I felt like I was being tortured.

Lmao, why the animosity for the 14?

Your zx-14

I'm not going to rag on u about ur new bike, but I have a question...

1st-Did you have to pay extra for your oars or did they come with the bike? 2nd question-When u carry a female passenger do u row by yourself or do you ask for help from your passenger.

Since you're now riding kawa, you must look into some mods done by a specialist by the name of Shervin Rezaiy. He does some wicked mods, most are pretty cheap to do yourself and really lighten things up, has some custom exhaust and aerodynamic/lighting mods, check him out.

B-E-A-Utiful. But once Again, I'm very partial to ZX14's and R1's. I think the R1 is the best looking bike on the market since 2004. But I love the ZX14's because of the way they ride. Have fun with it man, I know all these guys here are just messing with yah, but at least you have one person here on your side :)

I got nothing to say about the pics, If I wanted something other than R-1 I would trade or buy a Suzuki M109r, if you gonna have a big long heavy bike get one comfortable and pretty fast for cruiser, and looks good, (man those things are ugly), did I say that out loud??

Well, that's comforting. Atleast i know it's not my fault now:crash

Yea, i've gotten more responses here than the kawiforum lmao. Unless you're on a 600, that place is dead. I still like the R1 forum more by far, i hope they don't shun me because i do still want to get another R1:dunno:dunno
