same problem.. fuel pump not working. after replacement

hey, im having the same problem, just spent $1250 in the shop to rebuild carbs, new chain, sprockets, rear tire, battery, and got stuck on the way home from the shop! with the same problem. started boggin out while driving. after i got it home never started again, thought is was the fuel pump since it wasnt turning on after ignition, got new pump, still nothing, the manual says it might be corrosion in wires from the pump relay, which is in or next to your ICU box under the seat. i checked it out, used gunk cleaner and found out i had other wires under left front fairing next to fork wires were getting hot, and those white plastic square jalopies that connect 4 wires together actually melted and black like small fire.. im looking for a whole new wiring harness because theres just so much green corrosion, i live by the water on Long island, ny.. we'll see what happens. but i havent rode all spring/summer,, sucks,,, i know. worst comes to worse, i buy a new ICU unit and all new relays...................:fork

found the relay,, its a four prong/pin relay.. number 26. this guy on the r6 forum has been screwwwin with it. he said his shop charged him for a brand new fuel pump and it was just the relay.......... its stopping the pump from any current what so ever..

no you cannot.. it is an eleven pin relay located right down behind the battery tray. it is known in the manual as a starter cut out relay/fuel pump relay as it contains both relays for each of those individual circuits. it controls the fuel pump on ignition on in order to prime the carbs for starting. i have about 5 spare here from my previous diagnostic experience.
