HAGA AND HASLAM RACE BIKES TO BE AUCTIONED 14th October 2004

Greetings!

Team Renegade has announced that the 2004 Superbike World Championship Ducati 999's used by Noriyuki Haga and Leon Haslam are to be auctioned.

All four of the original racing bikes of the two riders are to be offered for sale on E-Bay from Friday, 15 October,12pm, in an unprecedented move designed to allow worldwide fans to purchase a real piece of racing history!

The machines are being offered in a totally original condition, with each bike personalised for the respective rider, and as they finished the season. Renegade will even provide a certificate of authenticity to go with each machine. But that's not all. Each successful buyer will also be given the opportunity to receive their purchase being handed over by the appropriate rider, with a photograph to capture the magical moment!

'What better way to receive a fabulous and unique piece of racing history than from the actual rider himself' declared Renegade team boss Mark Griffiths. He went on to say, 'Each one of these bikes has a long and distinguished history. There were only four F03 machines ever built and we have two of them. We also have both of Leon's RS04 bikes available, of which there were only 20 manufactured. These machines are already rare before we even talk about their most recent riders!'

 Although theyre being returned back to standard condition, they're still based on 999r's-so the price tag will still be expensive:dollar :dollar
The way I understood it, the bikes will be exactly as raced in the last race of season, including the special last race Koji graphics, and that they are in fact, full on factory Corse F03 models from last years championship.

At least those are Haga's (F03), Haslams are one step down the chain from a full on factory bike, but still made by Corse for limited sale to race teams only :yesnod

Pic below is the 1st. version of the Koji graphics, note the difference to the last race Koji graphics above :thumbup

DUCATI 999 RS04 – Leon Haslam. Bike 2. This machine is again one of only 20 ever manufactured and was again used in pre-season testing during February and is in perfect condition. The bike was also last used during the practice and qualifying sessions at Magny Cours, and is the bike ridden to third position at Oschersleben – Haslam’s first ever World Championship podium finish. The machine is in the Koji red body kit, and is complete with a rear paddock stand. A DAS4 data logging system and data capture sensors are NOT included. Certificate of authenticity available. Personal handover by Leon Haslam can be arranged!

GBP 75,000.00 (Approximately US $134,748.75)
DUCATI 999 F03 – Noriyuki Haga. Bike 1. This machine is one of only FOUR ever built by the Ducati factory and was originally ridden by Ruben Xaus, who finished second in the 2003 Superbike World Championship. Haga acquired the bike in January, and has used it consistently all season. This machine won the final race of the season at Magny Cours, and is in Koji ‘Haga graffiti’ livery. The bike is complete with a rear paddock stand, but the DAS4 data logging system and data capture sensors are NOT included. This bike has been regularly serviced all season by Haga’s technicians and is in perfect condition. Certificate of authenticity available. Personal handover by Noriyuki Haga can be arranged!

Now that's worth it to also meet and chat (even throw back a few) with Haga-San!
