ok, so i decided i'm going to get a 35w xentec kit since i have them on my 02 with no problems and i'm a broke bastard lol. however, my 2013 is a completely different color scheme . i got a red and black scheme going on. so i'm torn between the 6000k which is white with a blue tint ( currently on my 02 that is blue and white), and i like them a lot. i'm also looking at the 5000k which are straight up white and i have never seen in person. i wish i had a better idea of what they would look like in the projectors. if anyone has pics of both temps in projectors, that would be awesome. also, i am totally welcoming opinions. i am attaching a pic of my bike to help with opinions. thanks guys!

I would never go above 5k, but I am more concerned with throwing light on the road rather than looking cute to oncoming eyes. :crash

I always like a slightly blue tint just because it makes the bike look more modern. I put DDM 35w 8000K on my R1 but I can barely see the blue. Different brands will have different tints even at the same Kelvin rating. I personally wouldn't go below 6000K and that should be basically totally white, just a VERY VERY slight blue.

Also, remember that if you go 55w on HIDs you have to move up the Kelvin scale to get the same color.
edit: just read that you were going to use 35w ignore the line above

If there is nothing in your bike that can be damaged by heat I would go higher than 35w, especially since you only have 2 lights. I have 4x 35w kits on my bike. Your projectors should eliminate the glare issue at almost any intensity. Please get this 100w kit and be the guinea pig for us, I'm dying to know if the bike can handle it.

the xentecs i got in my 02 are 35w 6000k and its got some blue in it. i personally dont see the point in putting 55w in a bike. 35w is brighter than oem anyways depending on what temp u get. if i'm not mistaken, most of the websites i've gone on say not to use 55w if you have a small enclosure. i might get that 100w and make a flashlight though lmao.

i always got by, "you get what you pay for" you get cheap stuff, its eventually going to crap out. i only got xentec because oem lights suck and i dont like only being able to see maybe 20 ft infront of me at night. also , i'm trying to save for a y-pipe. and that my first priority, so cheapo hid was the way to go. as soon as the y-pipe is out of the way, i'll be getting the kit one2 recommends. my kit should be here within the next couple of days. i picked up some 194 leds for the aux light to match. went to my dealer today and got the missing o-ring put on my dust cover. asked him about getting the dust covers unattached from the wires. he said that i cant smh. and he is apparently against hids. he said most of the people that come in with headlight problems have hids. i got the kit that plugs directly into the stock harness so i aint worried about it.

I'm just trying to help you all be safe. Heat resistance HID bulb bases and relay kits are safer for you and your bike.

The base of the bulb on the left that I posted earlier was made using Phillips parts. :fact

People always think, "It will never happen to me..." :shake

So that there is no confusion, you need to call them and let them know what you have so you can get the right stuff.

Let them know you have to cut holes in you dust covers if you're going that route.

The optional XB bulbs are awesome. I have the older style. These guys are ALWAY improving their products.
