Gearing -1 front +2 rear. You will loose the top end speed but the gain on the low is fantastic. How often or how long to you get to use the top end anyway.

gearing helps
-1 in the front made a big difference on my friends 05 R1and still has top end
That would be me:hellobye With just -1 in the front it made a big difference. But even though, i still have to be starting at about about 6k so i dont get left off of the go. We ran a few times in 6th gear starting at about 60-70mph just to see what would happen. His K5 got the jump then i started to reel him in. BTW we went up to 145mph due to lack of space. Hope this helps your decision a little. If you want anymore real world info. and we can test it out for you:riding

yoshimura EMS . or "The Cube" put their 04 map in my bike. did some tweeking to bottom. (richer) and shes a monster. although i dont know all the mods to your bike so i cant vouch it will do as much to yours. i also put the graves velocity stacks on at the same time so i dont know how much they either do alone. but i do know she runs like a raped date from 3000 to the red zone. (no rev limiter now) this is with stock gearing. i think its perfect hope this helps.:rock

It's tough, Gsxr's are the fastest of the liter bikes hands down.

Full exhaust and a tune would be a good start but if you race one with equal mods you're going to lose assuming both riders skill level is close.

Just remind him that his bike is Ugly. really ugly.

I went for a ride with my buddy and his all black CBR1000RR, and the good looking women's eyes were all on my bike, parked, or riding. :D

BTW, anyone resize a pic for me so it dont look so ugly in my avatar?

thanks

IF YOU WANT WIP AN 05/06 GIXXER, BUY THE SAME BIKE AND MOD IT. AT THIS POINT NOTHING ELSE CAN CATCH IT. IT MAY HAVE ASTHETIC LOOKS THAT HAS TO GROW ON YOU, BUT THE POWER TO WEIGHT RATIO'S ARE THE BETTER OF IT'S CLASS. I LOVE MY R1 WON'T SELL IT. BUT ADDING ANOTHER LITER BIKE IN
MY GARAGE IS DEFINITELY AN OPTION. I'LL TAKE ONE IN BLK.
