curious as to what the average is around here.

maybe list it like this:
your cost per MONTH, name of insurance co., your AGE, bike and bike year, tickets/accidents

i just got quoted:

$114/month, State Farm, i'm 22, 2008 R1, 1 ticket two yrs ago, no accidents, MSF course

30, State Farm, No tickets, 02 R1, 08 MV Agusta F4 312R, $90 a month, MSF course Alaska which has a $50K madatory policy rather than the standard $20K $10k $10k like most states. But I do not think they know what they are really insuring with the MV other quotes had me at $150 a month just on the MV because they went buy the value of the bike

pardon my ignorance, but what is having lean on a bike? owe money?

23, $450 yr liability. Got quoted at statefarm for 60 a month when I turn 25... so how does putting the insurance on somebody else work out? If my wife was the primary, I would be paying 50 a month full coverage. Do I just add her name to the title, or just insurance though her?

And im in las vegas, insurance is crazy here... and so are the drivers.

A lean holder is a party that holds the title until you've paid them in full for whatever the title is for. IE...a bank and you have a loan through them.

26, 2007 R1 full coverage, 250 Deductible, no tickets or accidents, 0 points. AAA Michigan $38/month and i also have my truck through them...

I can't believe how cheap some of you guys pay for full coverage. I am 41 yrs. old, no accidents, no tickets in the last 10 yrs., 07 R1, and pay $53.00 a month for liability and theft. Full coverage would be twice that. I'm really pissed about it. I have Progressive because USAA, whom I've had for 20 something years will not offer me insurance for my bike. State Farm told me I would have to insure my cars with them if I want them to insure my bike, and they can't match USAA's rate on my cars to make it worth-while.

are you serious???
are you in Texas?
if so look up Raymond Holden with State Farm in Plano, TX and he oughta be able to easily beat that rate.

he insured me when i was 19 w/ 2 tickets on a R6 for $98/month. you shouldn't be paying anywhere near $53/month!!!!

that is weird TXBITT that you are paying more. But USAA was quoting me through an underwriter or second company and it was outragious because they went buy the value of the bike and Progressive and I think Geico both do the same thing. where others go just buy the cc and that is it. like I said USAA with my MV was Triple what I am paying through State Farm and it went up just based on the value.

$420 a year thru progressive. I can afford full coverage but it would be ugly after 4 speeding, 1 illegal lane change, 1 wreckless driving and 1 following too closely (B.S.) ticket.....last four years have really screwed me; but i had fun doing it baby!

Haven't picked up my R1 yet, but my 2000 CBR F4 was 600 for the year...24 with a lot of tickets haha, and I'm from mass so lets just so most insurance companies won't even give me a quote

I'm 21 and insured through Country Insurance. They insure my truck and r1 (which is on a bank lien). Full coverage is $49/month with 4 tickets on my record-two on the bike. My r6 was only $25 for full coverage when I had it.

$33.13, 18yrs old, 07 R1 liability and theif protection, No tickets or accidents

#39 ·
30 years old
No tickets, No crashes
105 $ per month Fully comprehensive
Bike has to have a level 4 encoded immobilizer (red key on 07)
they require you to fit satelite tracking (for theft) at 100$ once off instalation fee and then about 10$ per month service fee.

Not that expensive but quite more expensiv than car and house insurance.

Consider that many of these prices are included on muli-line policies, Ie house and cars on the same policy to which give discounts for the more you insure. Its been a while since I tried AAA Michigan but they wouldn't insure a sportbike unless I had my home owners with them. Also when I changed my home owners insurance from Stated Farm I lost my multi-line discount on the bike. It went up about 60 bucks a year.

04 R1, 37 years old, 1 ticket two years ago, State Farm, $500, deductable, $400/year.

Works the same here, my house and two cars are on the multiline system at one insurer but they quoted me quite high because they have a clause that states "Riders below 35 are of a higher risk" It's a good insurance company but I got away cheaper by putting the bike on seperate insurance.

:fact You always loose with insurance anyway !
