anyways just installed the ccfl white rings in my grey 07 r1. they look sweet, but the problem now is that my oem low, high, and parking signal bulbs look wack.

going to take care of the low beam with hid.....but the stupid parking signal bulb is the only one that looks ugly and doesn't flow. high beam i can just leave off for now.

anybody know a good matching pure white parking light bulb?

going off what I've been able to look at, 100mm on the highs may push the limits. The way the bulb sit's in the lens where the wire's come in at the top was tight enough and need to be careful. At the bottom the bulb sits against the reflector edge and when putting the housing back together there's little room for error. I wish you could do that but you may be pushing it. If the bulbs don't cost much it's worth a try, but I'd buy some extra 80mm just in case! Also different companys bulb's may be 80mm but a thicker bulb which I just found out doing a blue set and a white set.

yup they are too big to fit "comfortably without any pressure on the bottmo of the ccfl, i bought 100mm because i thought i would be slick...sure enough it didnt work and i popped one when i was trying to get the lense back on

My HID's are 8000k and as for the parking lights go to pep boys, or an automotive store there are many different LED bulbs you can buy. I think a set was like $7. Post up some pic's of the bike and lights

Hey XplicitAzian this is just my plan, I'm posting it in case someone like it.

After I installed my ccfl's I'm going to take the original parking lights and change them to turn signals, only flashing on when the signals are activated. I already bought a pair of amber leds at Pep boys for less than $10. ( in ither words the angel eyes will be the new parking lights, just like bmw)


As for the low and high beams you could try sylvania bulbs to get rid of the yellow look. I have on my car the silverstar model. The buld looks very bright. They look very white. OR you may also change them to cold blue bulbs, they look good too but I prefered the silverstar (ultra model last longer) because they ilumitate better.

i got the ccfl's off of ebay for about 20 bucks or so shipped from germany. took almost 2 weeks, but i got them.

as for the headlights, i might actually do the turn signal amber thing, because you can't really see my gregg's that much if looking straight on from the front. as for lowbeams i just sprung and got some hid's, high beams i can care less for now, will probably switch to silverstars soon.

i as well rigged a switch to cut the headlights off while the bike is on. it cuts the main fuse off, so the parking, low, and high beams are cut off with the switch when the bike is on.

if the bike is off, everything is off, EXCEPT the ccfl's which i did a live wire to the battery.

a little update; lol i went to work today at 8:45am and went out to lunch at 1:00pm. during that time i had forgotten to turn the ccfl's off.....

when i got to the lot i quickly ran to turn them off then start the bike, the bike started with no problem but you can tell the battery was getting drained.

i probably only had one shot to start the bike too, luckily it was nice and warm out and it started up after a split second of delay.

so in turn i had left them on for 4hrs and 15 minutes, 3.5 hrs is what i would leave them on for, i pushed it today....

Anyone's done this mod with the r1 07? it maybe possible to put it in the low beam, but the high beam is not circular! if you 've done it on a 07, please let me know how it went, pics would be great too...Thanks....thinking about doing it this weekend!
