The Gixxer 750 is absolutely not faster than any R1.

From where does he base his facts?

 

I didn't say I agreed with him, I haven' ridden either bike I just wanted to let yall know yall aren't getting much love from our fellow motorcycle brothers...

 

I've raced with 750's and there is no hell on earth that thing passes me.

Might be, if there's a sucky driver on the R1 and a pro driver on the gixxer 750..

It sure hell won't pass me on any generation of the R1.

 

Well even with the gixxer 1000 it ain't what the magazine says its what the rider can do. And the gixxer 750 I'll admit is a great bike but it ain't in the liter bike class, close but no cigar. But if people would just get over this my daddy can beat up your daddy shit and realize that if your bike pleases you than that as bad ass as it needs to be. And if it don't, quit talking shit and just buy one that does.

I ride with guys on Gixxer's 600's a 750 and a couple of 1K's, they are nice but it is still a bike, all I have to say is "Hate 2 Lose" bring balls.......BIG ONES!

....not to braggggg but i was out with a group of 30 people wed night..we left at 7pm and didnt come home till 6am....lots of gix....and i had the only R1?? haha....we had everything there, lots of cruisers, even an enduro bike...my wifes little ninja 250*giggle* rc51, 929, etc etccccc a Busa (my buddies)....

a dude on his gix 750 was toying around with me, and at Every light and every twistie and every straight i just plain whomped his ass...same with a guy on his 600 gix....i dont get into the war thing (gix vs R1) but since reading all the shit on this forum, I do wonder sometimes....so we all raced...theres a guy with a 1K....his girlrfiend was on back, so we didnt get to play..im sure we just would have all kept right along side of each other...

whats the moral..there aint one...I like both of the bikes..if i could id have the black n silver Gix 1000, a 929, shit id have them all...after seeing a movie with some dude canyon carving on the buell firebolt..i want one of those too .....shit i want them all...

I bought my first new bike this spring...and i will continue to buy new bikes every spring till I have a nice fuckin collection...

For me, a bike is a bike. If it does what you want it to do, thats all that matters. I just hate people who bash on bikes, but aren't really riders. They have the bikes, and pose, but they haven't logged the saddle time.

I went to a biker bar here in Seattle on my FZR 1000... IN THE SNOW. Not a single Harley guy showed up. The owner came out and bought me a drink and shook my hand. A couple weeks later, I showed up early and parked out front, then some Harley guy started giving me a hard time--"Hey man, we reserve the front for Harleys." I wanted to punch him in the head. I mean, where was his pansy ass when it was snowing? That's what I'M talking about.

 

Don't get me wrong I love my R1, but the GSXR 750 is a lot more bike than most of you probably think. I think it was two years ago when Motorcyclist and Cycle World did comparo's of that bike with the R1 and 929 and the 750 had the highest top speed and also was the quickest on the track. Top speed is due to the aerodynamics and the track times are helped by lighter weight and a more docile engine that doesn't spit people off as quickly. I have a buddy that had a 750 before taking out a deer with it, he was right there with me for roll-ons due to him weighing a couple lbs less. But, as it as been stated before the rider will make all the difference when hitting the corners or starting from a stop.

 

All I have to say is, you don't see Ducati owners coming on R1-forum, or Gixxer.com, saying "Hey, Ducati won ANOTHER WSBK race, like Ducati has done for the last 8 years" I mean, I have the bike I like, you have the bike you like, so why must we talk shit. I know I personally don't like the Gixxer's, but I'm not gonna talk shit to you for having one. Maybe friendly joking, if I knew you, but I'm not gonna hate you, that's too Harleyish. Just my 2 cent, if anybody cares probably not. I seriously doubt anybody is reading this anymore, but we keep writing, kinda fucked up huh??
