I really liked this bike. Wasn’t it the first with the Delta box frame?

 

Genesis 5 valve engine, EXUP, and Delta Box. I think that the one previous
generation YZF-1000 (1987) also had the aluminim box frame.

 

Lost my 2005 R6. Stolen out of the hospital parking lot. Cops recovered it a few months later with a dead body after the thief tried to run from the cops...KARMA IS A BITCH!

 

It's a horrible sinking feeling, when the bike, is NOT there.

 

What anti theft measures are you guys taking?
I've recently installed Roadlok (caliper mounted disc lock).
GPS tracker would be the next step to take I guess.

 

I'm lucky at present to have the bike in a monitored garage.
I cover it, and over the winter that also helps with the dust.
I have a dis lock as well, and the bike is in a confined space,
with a car partially obscuring and blocking the view.

 

One thing in our favor, bikes, especially hot sport bikes, these are impulse steals, by imbeciles, not the work of highly skilled professionals, we see stealing high end cars.

 

My 2020 R1 was taken last feb. def a crew that knew what they were doing. I think its in Europe not any where in the states.
new one has gps hidden trackers. More locks and cameras on and around area. So if it is taken. Its locatable and there is a video watching them do it. Along with lights and sounds to hopefully ward them off

 

The only way to stop them is for them to not know where your bike is

someone stole a show quality 2000 r1 from my carport so this is my setup it may be overkill

very reachable but very hidden micro gps installed
a second micro gps that you cant get to it before i come kill you lets just put it that way,,,
an apple airtag
a vibration alarm under the seat
and to top it off A genuine truck driver case hardened non shimmable, false door pins and all AMERICAN LOCK "the updated one" on the front rotor by updated meaning it cant be bypassed with just the bypass tool you need a wafer breaker as well and the vib alarm will alert me and 357 long before you get through it
and about 8 motion tracking exterior cameras
