Lena808, I think I saw you at North Shore by Wailua shopping area maybe a month or two back. You were the only woman I saw that rides a Raven. I remember clearly because I was pointing you out to my father on the type of bike I have, the only difference is mines a 04 Blue. By the way, I ride the 04 SPIDEYR1....

I havent seen your bike before. Do you wanna join a few of us this weekend to ride? Yes that was me out at Waialua. I like going out that way to snake road. I also go out there to visit a guy I know, Jay Hodge. He shapes surfboards by the sugar mill. He's never there when I go though. Oh boy what fun it is to ride the R1 through that gravel, holes and mud. As Jay calls it, "Bitchin!" haha I called it "Oh my fookin god, I'm gonna eat gravel!

 

That's where I saw you Lena, near the Mill. I was by that little park and yes you were riding on gravel "YIKES" I think your bike had paper plates still.

Yeah, we usually hit the turns. If we head out Leeward side? We hit the h2 onramp near LCC then to Mililani Tech park, then to pineapple road, then snake road and back. After that we take the west bound from H2 and hit the Ewa cut off!

Are you folks military? Usually people here knows me as SPIDEY because of my bike. My 99 R1 was the same theme also. Coalition is usually the military guys. Give me a Holler if you ride this weekend? We usually ride on Sunday after 1pm when I get off from work. Give me a call but pm me for my number. We could probably follow you folks and get use to you guys on your rides.....

There are a few good roads on Oahu. The track located by Barbers Point is a drag strip with a return road. It's a P.O.S. but that's all there is.:thumbup

 

Yes SPIDEYR1 I am that crazy to ride a brand spankin new ride multiple times over gravel and red dirt cause it really is bitchin! Its the best way to break in a ride ya know, especially the tires. haha I almost fell one time but well I didnt so thats what made it so bitchin!

I rode with coalition a couple of times. I'm not military though they invited me to ride with them and I finally hooked up. Nice crew!

I like taking the ewa cutoff and then the waipahu one and head down the back road to Kapolei. One of my favorite routes.

A drag strip with a return road. Can be run both short and long course. It's dangerous and shitty, but it's all that Oahu has. http://www.hawaiiracewaypark.com/

There's a handfull of guys on this site from hawaii, some of them not currently riding at this time because they sold their bikes and will get back in the groove again soon. Then again, some of them that still ride that are in this forum that I hang with too! I've been riding for awhile now there's been a lot of new faces I see on the road. I guess you can call me old school and get along with everyone. With all the cops patrolling it's hard for us to chill at the end of our ride and stunt a little. I've cut down on stunting big time and been hitting the turns more lately. There's times when we just chill and take it easy because after awhile it gets boring riding through the same places everytime.

As far as my bike? It's sticker decal, I do that on the side and put some minor custom graffics on bikes. Give me a PM also with your number and maybe we can hook up with Lena?

Too funny! Just watch them nails on the gravel, that'll cost you some :dollar to buy a whole new tire. You were very careful when I saw you, good job girlfriend!

Hope to ride with yall, and yes! That Ewa cut off is my favorite turn. Especially when it's clear or cars. That's usually my route to go home so I try to take it as fast but safely as I can. I hit atleast 90mph on that turn. That was on my old bike, I'm still getting use to with this 04. Boy I miss my 99R1!

As far as the Lena sitings? I only saw you once, and it's rare to see a woman riding a R1. Now I know of 2 who rides a R1's and a 1 that rides a Gixxer1000.

 

So what time and date is everyone getting together for a ride on this beautiful island of Oahu?????????

 

do any of you know a dude named dwane that rides or used to ride a blue 6r. he and his crew would meet at the gas station across from Nike town before you hit the waikiki strip. he was sort of a heavy set guy with long hair. anyways i used to ride with them once in awhile and those guys can haul some butt.

I'm setting up my 04 R-1 for California races, I'll be testing that day to get my setup right (or at least close).

this guy knows his stuff and is an awsome friend to have on your side. that track is not half bad and offers a huge challenge to liter bikes. when i used to go it was like 60 bucks for the whole day. come on!! to be able to go balls out crazy in a controlled environment is great and very addicting. i had a blast with my gix1000 when i was there.

 

heh.. that's kinda odd that there's a few spiderman bikes getting around.. but you dont really seem to see any other superheros on bikes.

 

My GSXR1000 is in Cali for when I go racing there. This year I have a 750 to race in Hawaii. I'm gonna take the 04 R-1 to Cali to try to win some Yamaha racing $$...
