i bought an integrated tail light off ebay from BILLETMOTOPARTS. a piece of crap, avoid at all costs, and they're customer service sux!!! here is how they responded to my request for a working unit. i bought it a while ago, but was in the middle of several projects so just got around to installing it.

Dear Customer,

Sorry about that but it has been three months since the purchase and we do not have the item in stock at the moment. We could however offer you a special discount on other items if interested. Thank you.

+1

I called them awhile back when I was shopping prices for an integrated tail light. They wouldn't give up the name of who made the light. I asked them several times and all they would tell me is "I'm sorry but the manufacturer of the light is kept confidential for security purposes". That was a big enough red flag for me to go elsewhere and get a Clear Alternatives unit.

Either way, they'll never get any of my future business. Hopefully the the recession buries them for good.

never dealt with this company, but what did you expect after 3 months? sounds like they just didn't have the product but would try and make it up to you some other way. i see that as something after 3 months.
uh, no its bullshit. the unit is brand new, and all i wanted was a working unit. so what 3 months went by, am i not supposed to expect them to stand behind what they sell? am i supposed to expect that had i installed it the day i got it and it went bad 3 months later that i should be happy it lasted 3 months? give me a break! and no, they are not willing to do anything except offer to sell me more of their crap for a discount. how about refunding my money on a piece of crap tail light that crapped out after 2 rides?

That's garbage. The unit was brand new and didn't work. He should get a full refund or full credit towards something else with the return of his damaged light.

The company already lost 2 customers just from this thread. Had they handled the situation correctly and treated him well, I would have looked into them for a new chain and sprocket set that I'm about to buy.

raise your hand if you bought an integrated tail light, installed it on day one, and it crapped out 3 months later, and you would buy another one from the same company! anyone? anyone? i didnt think so. let alone the first damn week!
