How many miles do you have left after the gas light come up, round about number or idea...

I will have to agree with Polar.

Although i think the reservoir is 14.5L normal + 3.5L the reserve and not 15L+3L.

I got 19 miles (about 30 km) after the light came on and didn't really want to test my luck any further. I wasn't going easy on the throttle either.

Ha I was kinda wondering the same thing, just bought an 03 friday night and rode it all day yesterday. Well I was just headed back and my light came on, rode 22 miles on the highway and stopped for gas. Didn't want to risk it haha

I got 11.5 but was pushing it pretty hard the entire way to the gas station , my bike auctually ran out as I was down shifting into the parking lot and I just coasted to the pump

I actually ran out of gas twice on my 05, first time I got 26 miles before it sputtered and died. I started it up again and went for another 100' then it died again. Second time was 22 miles. I wouldn't go over 20 once you see the light.
There is no way you can get anywhere near 50 miles:fact, no matter how much you take it easy on the throttle

Depends on how far you can push it :flex:

When I first got my '09 it gave me about 500 YARDS after the light came on ... ended up pushing it to the nearest gas station twice. Dealer replaced the fuel pump and sensor and it hasn't done that again ... I've seen the light a few times but I always fill up at around 100 miles on the trip.

About 25 before changing the gearing, around 20 after.

it really depends on ur bike mods and ur riding style.

those if u who have a power commander (usually it richens ur fuel delivery) you will get less miles.

as for my, when i had a PC3+tune, i got about 25miles before my bike died (happened 3 times)

now that i have stock on, i have gotten 30miles (didnt die yet) was the most ive went for. its too risky beyond that for me anyhow)

The farthest I've gone is 27 mi, all highway, about 70-75 mph. I was on fumes when I filled up. 2009 R1

I've got 60kms from light coming on. I had to ride in 6th gear doing 50kmph. Engine was basically idling.

i got 22, the light came on while on the highway after i had just passed a exit and i was 4 exits away from home. so i just went for another 2 exits on the highway got off and took the service road so if i get stuck i can push it or park it for gas. but i was able to get home and get some gas.

The farthest I've tested it was, as soon as I got out of the pits at road america. 24miles of alot of WOT and crossing my fingers I'd make it thru my session :lol

Just ran out, first time on a bike. Light came on as I entered the Thru Way, figured a little under 10 miles to the next exit. Sure enough, 9.1 miles came on the F Trip Odo and she died. I made it to the ****ing exit ramp. Unfortunately, it was a mile away from the gas station, and the exit ramp was looooong and uphill for the most part. Plus the troopers don't think kindly of people pushing cars/bikes off the thruway (takes money away from the state). Lucky for me, all my co workers drive the same road. A harley rider even stopped (the only person to stop to see if I was ok aside from people I knew) offered to grab his truck and ramps if I needed a lift somewhere..

Im not asking for a gauge, but How about a fuel light at half tank, and flashing at 1/4 like the Suzuki's....

Odd...i've run 20-22 on mine before I got gas..never ran out. Doesn't seem right that they'd be SO different on an identical bike.

Left my house in Page,AZ and thought I had enough gas to make it to Kanab,UT (about 70 miles away). Needless to say I was wrong. Once the gas light came on I maintained 70 mph in a 65 at about 7-8k Rpm. As you can see I got 32 miles after the fuel light came on. I had to hitch a ride 5 miles to town, oh yeah..no cell service. I got 1 mile down the road on foot before getting picked up. I suggest you don't assume you're good on gas, when in doubt fill er up.
