So after trading in my '09 R1 that I enjoyed so much I got a '12 CBR1000RR. The bike was a great handling machine, but BORING as hell. Well just last week I traded in the RR for a new '13 R1. The moment I started her up and the whole ride home reminded me how much I am in LOVE with this bike. Here's a pic below! Also I am new to the forum so hello to all! :)

Blue is the best and fastest color!!!!! I'm going to have a hard time jumping brands too because of the xplane. Please don't flame me boys but i was kinda considering the cbr 1000 as a new bike but the bike even with pipes sounds gay. The reviews on the cbr are really good so its definitely a ride id like to try though.

I just now noticed they put the turn signals in the mirrors, I like that alot. My 07 GSXR had them in the mirrors and I always thought it was a nice touch

My first R 1

Well of courseIm not that cycle savy.. So my first bike was a 1996 cbr 600. Then after it was stolen. I got a seasonal job and since i thought two weeks im about to be paid.didnt know that they paid at the end of the work week.so I had two checks topurchase my bike. While I was at the liquor store I ran into a tow truck driver who said that they had a few motorcycles on the yard. And i figured cheap and why not. So after working two weeks at ups i had 2 checks, and I was able to save 700.00 so I urgently went down there to purchase a bike. So right away I see a bike im interested in.2010 gsxr 750 but they wanted 2000.00 I had about 800.00 and wouldnt go for my sob story how my cbr600 was recently stolen.and dont have transportation to work.yada yada yada .
So They showed me some other bikes that they had that were more in my price range it was and 05 yamaha r1 for 700.00 dollars. I had them tow it to my house and there it sat for another week till i could afford to purchase another battery.cause the one it had in it was fried.and wouldnt hold a charge. Well fastfoward to replacing the regulator rectifyer and stator. It ran great. Until this 16 year old kid new driver. Turned into my lane and cut me off. And my front cowl was shattered. And all my wires were frayed and torn. So of course not all my stuff from the accident was taken to where my bike was. So thats where my charging problem first started happening being that the wires wouldnt match up. So now im thinking about buying a harness from ebay. And just plug and play. And then I can see if theres really a problem with my bike. And not just blame the wiring.
