Guys -

2005 Salsa Red R1 Here...

Looking to buy an aftermarket screen.

I'd like a great fitting screen, like stock... but want a dark/smoke screen and not interested in double bubble.... My stock screen looks/fits great... however my logic is a smoke will enhance the lines of the R1.

Please advise

Thanks :)

Thanks guys, very helpful here, really appreciate it. Once I get the R1 set up, I hope to give back and repay you guys! ;)

I just want the best fitting screen in dark or light smoke, and last thing is to have a fitment problem... the stock is perfect... but like it darker.

Comments?

Thanks :)

Guys,

I did a 'search' and found numerous threads about both Puig and ZG having fitment issues... So hence this thread.

Thanks

On my 02 R1 I had 4 screens over the 5yrs I owned it.

2 Puigs (DB and Touring)
1 LP V2
1 ZG DB

All fit fine with no fitment issues or complaints. I liked the Puig shields since I had them the longest and liked the looks.....although the DB's all looked similar.

For my 06 R1 I've got a ZG Touring screen and a Puig DB. Same as above. Both fit well and look good.

So Zero Gravity and Puig; both are great screens? One better than the other? What about the front screen edge; nice and smooth like stock?

Along the same lines, does Puig or ZG have a windscreen that doesnt sink in? Like on my older bike the stocker would rise up so that when you're looking at the front the fairing and the windscreen were level where they met whereas with my aftermarket one the fairing was slightly higher since the windscreen didnt rise up to the same level as the fairing surface. Does this make sense?
