My recommendation would be to stay away from the HJC. I've got an HJC FS-15 Carbon right now, which I bought after I crashed my last Shoei TZ-R. The FS-15 is either their top of the line or up there and the TZ-R is Shoei's bottom of the line and I regret not just getting another TZ-R. The wind noise on my HJC is difficult to deal with, even with earphones plugged in. The build quality feels flimsy, like the visor has 3 detents and make it feel like it just flaps around. There are a few good points to the FS-15, but nothing significant enough to make me want to buy another one.

I say +1 to the X-11/12, I've tried on an X-11 and they feel almost lighter than my carbon helmet just because the weight on them is so well balanced + you get that awesome Shoei build quality.

+1 my HJC has always whistled in the wind.. pretty annoying but the only other helmet I have is an Icon Mainframe, which I like but it has skulls all over it lol (too much for me really)..

BELL Star vents like madd but noisy since it flows a ton of air. I like Suomy for fit and graphics. Shoei X-11, great helmet for closeout prices! If you wear glasses do not get the SHARK RSR2, it does not allow room for the stems on your glasses, gave me a pressure point pain, aside from that AWESOME helmet.

Id be careful of buying online ...even if price is good ..hard to try the helmet on for proper fit ...no what I mean..when I was buying mine...witha big choice of helmets at the dealership...I was torn between three helmets on fit, safety and appearance...you might like one online ..and might to fit right ...no what I mean....

Yeah, if you have any way of trying a helmet out in a shop before buying that is going to be best. Though manufacturers also give measurements for their helmets a lot of times, so if you can get a friend with a measuring tape (the loose kind that is used for sizing clothes) you can measure your head and that should help you get very close to what size you need to order. If you order online choose a place with a good return policy :)

I just bought an X-Twelve.
A bit noisy with the vents open.
Ordered a gold spectra shield that should be a sweet match to my bike.

OGK! It's the best helmet I have ever owned. It's just awesome. :yesnod

Here's where I bought mine. Oh man looks like they have made more improvements since I bought mine in 2008. :yesnod

Here's a great review of the helmet that I have... OGK FF5. :yesnod

www.webbikeworld.com/r2/motorcycle-helmet/ogk-ff-5/

Conclusion:
The OGK FF-5 is already one of my all-time favorites, with a combination of fit, comfort, air flow and looks that can't be beat. The fact that this Kousuke Akiyoshi Special Edition is as rare as hen's teeth -- and that OGK helmets are pretty rare to begin with -- just adds to the mystique.

The venting system is exceptional it doesn't add much to the overall noise levels, the eye port and visor allow excellent visibility and the paint and graphics are outstanding.

Winner: webBikeWorld 2008 Motorcycle Helmet of the Year!

The shark rsr2 is very nice. To the OP did you think about buying new cheek pads? Mine needed new cheek pads to fit perfect for my but I have the rx7 corsair. I actually found the quantum II was a perfect fit for me right out of the box.

This was my collection a few months ago it has dwindled down though a couple helmets.

I love my Quantum II as well. How would you compare the AGV's fit to it?
