104 to 242 is normal temps. the fan should kick on and keep it no more than 225.

 

Mine goes from about 167 cruising to 224 max. putting in traffic or stopped at a long light. I'm running engine ice in my rad. Fan will knock it down into the 2teens eventually.

Im in the UK where temperature is hardly desert like and mine runs between about 75 - 85C (160 - 180F ...I think?) and fan will kick in at 110C (230F) until temp gets below 95C (200F).
If weather is over 25C (60F) or sat in stationery traffic then I expect to run nearer 90C (190F).
...hope I got the conversion right - I'm shit with Farenheit but saw someone convert it on the telly this morning [by coincidence]
