I need some new rubber. I only ride on the street and i ride in the ocasional rain, I'm looking at diablos or pilot powers. Can anyone recommend one or the other based on experience with them?

I've never rode on diablos, but i do have powers. IMO they are great, fast warm up, great traction in the dry, good wet grip as well except for on concrete they are REALLY slippery...but what tire isnt. Also they wear very evenly and seem to have a good life span considering the traction they offer. But im pissed my rear is only about 1000 miles old and i have a nail in it 
MAD......i think i will patch it since its the rear, i should be fine, at least its not in the front.......the local yammi dear said this

i know a patch isnt ideal either way....but if you lose the front...you are pretty much done for! the rear you can atleast ride out! Just shows what the dealer knows!

I rode yesterday on Pilot Powers for the first time and im IMPRESSED!!!
This coming from a strictly M1 Sportec man...
I give them thumbs up for street riding only... track wise.. talk to me on Sunday.. I'll know.. my teammate is running them!!! I'm sticking to Diablo Corsas there

powers
Most of the guys around here run powers now on the litre bikes. Most of the 600 guys run diablos.
I have had m1's, 207's, 218s, and powers. I like the M1's alot and the powers the absolute best. They last a little longer than the m1's and feel just a bit better. Very confidence inspiring. worlds better than the stock 218s.

Funny you ask this question. I was in the same dilemma over the past month. I decided on the Pilot Powers. In fact I just ordered them last night. I plan on doing a track day with them and some hard street riding at Deal's Gap. Everyone on here has given them a high rating so far.R1gun said:

this is how i compare the two tires i've been running...
dunlop 207/208 = honda civic
michelin powers = lamborgini
i never tried the diablo's but my powers are a world of difference compared to the 207's:yesnod :yesnod :yesnod

I just mounted up new Diablos, front and rear, and love them. I have wear to within 2mm of the edge of the rear tire. They warm up quickly, and never once gave me any worries. I've done about 300 miles of very aggressive street riding. I'll not be getting D208s anymore.

After the stock 208's, I thought M1's were great tires. Diablo Corsas blow them away. Awesome tire and well worth the money. Biggest change I noticed is much more steering input from the front tire and the profile of the tire just lends itself to diving into corners. Well worth the money. Warms up fast and good rain grip. Don't know about longevity yet, only have about 200 miles on them. Well worth the money.

carcass flex,numb feedback...but thats just my opinion.
