yes, 02 R1, PCR3, Full Ak Evo Exhaust, Cusom Ram air, and a 150lb Jokey (me). Beat him 3 out of 4 times, now he has a Busa, one of my best friends. My R1 has 156.2 RWHP, but i dont believe that Dyno, I dont think I am pushing tha much power.

 

yes my buddy did on my r1... and beat gixxer at the drag strip.
then he raced busa on my r1 and beat that one too
then he raced me. I was on my R1 and my buddy was on F4. I got spanked

I've raced 2 Gix 1ks, beat both. I'm weighing in at an astonishing 140lbs, lol. The 2 other riders were in their 180s. My mods are below. Top end, I have no idea. I'm putting sprockets on my bike in a few days when they come in. I'd like do see how hard it pulls now. But my ass is grass 150+.

 

I raced a bunch of big gixxers and won. Not to mention a couple of Hayabusas. :thumbup Mods are listed below.

 

i raced a gsxr 1000 this summer stock for stock and won its all in the startoff in the 1/4 baby

now why dont you throw a corner or two or three into the mix , drag racing well its got its thing , straight line racing , thats like some rough rider biker boyz crap , who cares . Top speed is a twist of the throttle , and monkey can do it . ill glady do battle with any gsxr1k on a twisty road , or racetrack . I havnt ran into to many posers who could catch me there .

on the corners its a drivers race.i'm talking straight line b\c its more of a bike race. shit ,nicky hayden on a cbr600rr could most any of us on a tight turny track...........terrasmak, i guess you haven't beaten any 1k's huh?

Turns and a track are much different I agree , but drag racing is not easy , it is very difficult to speed shift and launch perfectly every time , I dont think very many riders do . I have beat a gixxer but I have also had a stock 954 hang right with me !:fork

I bet if I go over to gixxer.com and post a similiar thread the reply would be the same everyone over there would say the have kicked all yami's ass'es of course this place is going to be predigious and you can bet no ones gonna post up saying they got there ass hannded to them by a gixxer. so where we going with this.

The thing that gets me is everybody tries to go out and buy all these performance parts without focusing on the most important thing on the bike,THE RIDER, is the most important thing on a the bike. But yes I have beat gixxer1ks and I've got my ass tore up too. So focus more attention on you! not mods!

I've had my ass handed to me by R1s and Gixxers Sorry guys, just like fvcking with you since I don't have my One yet:lol Now if someone is out of their gord and wants to bracket race my ass..........poor bastard........consistency is the name of the game there, and I only vary .05 on any given pass down the 1/4.

 

In the 1/4 mile, each bike is capable of winning over the other. Its just around there that the 1k hits its stride. I have beaten my 1k before on my R1 in the 1/4, and vice versa. Its just whoever gets a better launch. but above 145, theres no way a REASONABLY stock R1 is gonna hang. The way the 1k chews through 150-180 is startling compared to the R1. On the street with normal riders, the bikes are basically the same.

 

This thread is ghey.........Like slut said no one here will say they got beat by a gix as would be the case on the other forum. That being said I think someone is trying to ignite some kind of fire between the masses. The first question posted in itself is ridiculous! :bash

what is interesting about holding the throttle wide open in 6th gear for an extended period of time , ive heard of the poser crowd going out and doing this ( instead of hittin the twisties )ya the gaxr1k is probably ganna win , unless the riders 2 up or just a fat bastard , or maybe his flip flops are flappen to hard in the wind . but really who cares , his bike is a mph faster in a long straight line . Why dont we get and arguement worth debaiting , what bikes holds the best corner speed , what bike handles better .etc etc

whats interesting about holding throttle wide open? !everything,i guess i'm just a speed nut but burying my speedo at 186mph in 5th and hitting12,000 rpm in 6th is a rush. and anyone can do it on an early sunday morning with no traffic on an open freeway.raceing around a track is fun too but, lets talk real world . do you ride the track from your house to work everyday?i don't think so. but most of us ride the highway and chaces are we all have raced ,maybe not full out but to a high rate of speed. highway races are more realistic. unless your jamie james ,ben spies or nicky hayden???????btw your the one with the 100 mph limit in sig........

tell us how you really feel? don't hold back o.k.......i guess you lost quite a few races?

 

I"ve raced 1Ks and lost more than won ,zx9rs,won mostly,blades,won mostly,and through the bends i"ve had my ass handed to me plenty of times by 600s of all makes,YES it is mostly down to the rider,but,like the guys are saying,down the strip,it"s all about the take-off,top speed,who cares?????

 

Come on people. :fact Get a life. Who really give a rats batootie
on which one is the fastest. A stock Gixxer and a stock R1. Guess
what? the gixxer has more H.P. With two even and same size
riders the gix will come out ahead on a straight road. 2004 might
bring a different out come. :fact Just enjoy what you have and
get out and ride it.

 

When I first got my R1, my friend had been riding his Gixxer 750 for a while. We raced, we were literally side by side 1st through 3rd then we stopped. But after I got used to my bike we raced again a week or 2 later, and I pulled away. I know there are plenty of stock and modded bikes that would hand me my ass on a silver platter, but until then, they can suck my monkey farts!!
