its all relative!

say you"re on a hot lap alone,making high speed shifts takes about 5-600rpms more than what you are actually going and will drop by as much too...
a bit past 10000 is good...

on the other hand,you got another racer tailing you,he"ll use all his rev range...you too.

going after someone,taking account the draft(if you can manage it)pushes the rpms to the limiter...

its kinda hard to explain.

optimistic tach...the real red line is at 11750rpms,but peak power should be nearer 10800rpms anyways.
no need to float your valves man.
