Rev limiter

I have a 2006 R1 and i would like to know if the computer limits how fast the Bike will go. I had a Hayabusa and I changed this plug with one that I purchased for 40.00 dollars and I got rid of my top end limit and change 1,2 and 3rd gears. Does the R1 have a similar aftermarket part? My R1 seems slow out of the hole and I am just trying to fix that problem

A rev limiter only limits how fast the motor turns. There are ways around it, kit ECU or PCIII w/ignition module, but unless you have a balanced and blueprinted motor you will lunch it quickly.
