I just sent back my High Tech Speed kit and will be going this way myself. I'd probably never try all the variations they had and prefer to have functional signals at all times.
thanks for the honest response man. but i'll wait until the end of this week and then i'm asking for a refund. i'm mostly disappointed because i've been waiting so long. thanks again.erixR1 said:The only thing I didn't like about it was that it was not fully developed at the time they were delivered (they seem to have the bugs fixed now though) and that the first production units had some production variation and minor qc issues due to trying to make everyone happy and getting a large number out in a short period of time. I beleive they used some temp help to get caught up, which was likely it.
In my case, the controller had did not have the wires glued in place as shown in the picure and I had a couple that were fraying.
But I will say they were very good about addressing this and stood behind the product and their word in offering my choice of either a refund or replacement.
Based on just wanting to go to a simpler design (no box to locate somewhere, I opted for the refund. I think the reality is that once I found a pattern I liked, I wouln't switch it anyway.
So nothing against the HTS unit. Its got the best features for the price so far. Though I haven't received the refund yet though it was received a few days ago, I trust they will take care of it.
well here i am ANOTHER full week has passed and i haven't seen any light as of yet. Mike, you gotta give me a hook up on something man cause it sounds like everyone has their light except me...what's the deal? i've tried calling you at both numbers...no answer. i even left you a message...no call back. luckily i can't ride now cause i'm sure i would be way more pissed off than i already amHighTechSpeed said:Frank...
It's on it's way to ya
Keep the faith. I'm sorry about the delay. As Eric said, we were way backed up and the first few that went out a few folks were having some difficulty getting them running 100%.
In retrospect, I would have done this a bit differently because I completely understand what it's like to be on the "other side" waiting for your stuff to show up.
I'm gonna be in the office all during the long weekend catching up on all our orders - I haven't had hardly any time to participate on the forum lately but from what I've heard from some folks, the lights are going over real well.
You will very soon be able to buy them at various online stores, and we had about 30 new dealers sign up from the show. It's really an issue of going from small production to large production. I wish we could have anticipated these problems and managed it a bit better - but the logistics of the group buy as well as the show and the problems we had with the people who make the boards up for us just all combined to make this whole process go less smoothly than we expected.
Thanks to everyone for bearing with us.
