Scorpion is a nice pipe. Quality is top notch. Sounds about like a Micron. I have the high mount, they do make a low mount and an extreme high mount. It still allows you to use the passanger pegs, I just dont have mine on in this pic. Nor does this pic do it justice, glare distorts it. :hellobye

Your right biaggi, Skorpion/Akra even had a similar motif to Scorpion before they changed to just the swoopy name as their badge. You could never mistake the quality between the two products tho! ;)

please do the research... :fact

Scorpion with a 'c' - is manufactured in Great Britian and also produces car exhausts and many aftermarket accessories. a fairly new company with good products...

Skorpion with a 'k' - now known as AKRAPOVIC is located in Slovenia (or Bosnia... whatever you choose to call it)... BEST motorcycle exhaust builder in the world... been around a while and changed its name from Skorpion to Akrapovic when Scorpion exhausts appeared on the market

Yep, Scorpion with a c is aUK company who only started making bike pipes when Skorpion with a k (now Akra) became succesful - big legal wrangles ensued but because teh car company came first they won and Mr Akrapovic (who was teh founder of Skorpion with a K) decided to name his product after himself.

Scorpion with a c make a nice can but not up to Akra standards, however, to say Akra is the best exhaust manufacturer bar none is a bit of a stretch - they have only got the rep on the track because they spent 2 years GIVING all their products away free to anyone who would take it.

Akra have not yet won a single back to back test (they came second to me in the biggest so far by MCN last year) but that does not mean they are not good - just not necessarily the best.

Scorpion are also very good quality (though their carbon is a bit ropey to be fair) and have ISO 9000 quality approval (that's the highest standard in the UK) - I think the only ones to have it..

Obviously I am biased but I would say my stuff is the best, followed for cans by MHP then Akra. When it comes to systems it would be Akra then very close behind Hindle - but Hindle is 1/2 the price!
