A buddy is hooking me up with a Scorpion slip-on, titanium with the heat/flame finish. I think it'll look good on a silver R1. Anybody know anything about Scorpion pipes? I'm mainly concerned about the looks and sound, the bike has plenty of power as it is. I wouldn't expect to lose any power tho. They seem to be good quality as any of the others.

I just put the Flame titanium slip-on on my '00 and it looks and sounds Great!! It is not as deep as my friends GSXR1000 with a yosh pipe but i like it nonetheless. I dont know that it has gained me much power because i put it on a week after i got the bike. Highly recommended for fit, finish, and overall quality. They also have a lifetime sound and appearance warranty i was just told.

Thanks for the help! My buddy had one on his '99 9R and it looked good but didn't get a chance to hear it. What you tell me makes feel good getting one, I wasn't sure if i was totally sold on the brand. I was told all the bikes are 50 state legal and have a converter in the pipe. Knowing this, I doubt there's any power loss with the Scorpion. I haven't seen any of these pipes in the Tulsa area and want to be different. Everyone around here goes with the normal stuff like Yosh, D&D, Micron, etc.
