Spies is looking great!
Btw, for reference: My best lap on my 600 (slip-on and PCIII) on Pilot Powers is 2.00 dead. These guys are nearly 20 freaking seconds faster!! :drunk: HOW do you go that fast?! :dunno
You guys from over the pond or in Europe MUST watch Kyalami in April/May next year... it's such an incredible track! :rock
1) I cant beleive Spies is that fast.. that fast!! lol
2) My best lap ever at VIR in the U.S. was a 1:42.. at the time Mladin held the record at 1:24.. making him about 18 seconds a lap faster than my best RACE time. And I dont consider myself a slow guy at all. At that time, I was riding pretty decent.. placing in about the top 1/3 of the Amatuer 1000cc races. In that particular VIR race, the amatuer race winner that day was only turning a 1:38 (4 seconds faster than me).
So I would imagine its safe to say.. most Pro riders are a good 20-30 seconds faster than us "regular" guys on a Professional Racetrack. And by regular Im saying those of us who either trackday guys or amatuer club racing guys.
Really puts things into context when you have people who read a magazine and then decide to buying a specific bike based on a professional rider's critique of the bike. I guess they somehow beleive that the technology/power of that bike is what they need to become a better/faster rider. When they have no idea how much faster these Pros are than us. They truly do ride on a level we could only attempt to dream of.
