Whichever one fits your/his head. Gotta try 'em on. Any of the upper end helmets are all great, just comes down to the fit. For me, its Arai all the way.

I've only had 3 helmets in my life- a Schuberth, Arai rx-7, and AGV XR-2. Schuberth was expensive as hell $700s but it was a good sport flip up, Arai was expensive also $700s but it looked nice and is the top of the line, AGV is bang for the bike and you can find them cheaper if you wait awhile for discontiinued models. got the xr-2 for around $200 and it does the job and I like the look as well.

I've had Arai, Shoei, HJC, OGK & Shark . . .

how I'd rate them

1. OGK
2. Shark
3. Arai
4. Shoei
5. HJC

my old OGK David Jeffries replica FF4 was totaled in my last crash, and at the time the DJ rep was discontinued and the new FF5 wasn't out so I picked up a Shark RSR2. I like the RSR2 alot, very light, excellent venting, plush interior, great anti-fog visors, and easy change shield system, but . . .

my next helmet will be another OGK . . . better aerodynamics, great venting and the new FF5 shield system is sweet plus it feels lighter than my Shark :thumbup

I have had a shoei, Gmax, akuma, agv and arai. The shoei was hot so that went away, the gmax was a good cheaper helmet good bang for the buck, the akuma is a nice helmet also I just wished they would finally release the TOD visor, the agv is a nice helmet but doesnt fit my head well and is loud, My all time favorite is my arai rx7 corsair. The liner is very nice and fits my head very well. I have tried on Sharks also and didnt like it too well.

So for my head the Arai is the best. I will probably wear Arai for the rest of my life.

I have and AGV Rossi, An old Shoei RF, A Shark (not sure the model) and a 707 I just got at cycle gear for $60.00 bucks...

What ever fits your head and your comfortable wearing for a while. I like all my helmets and wouldn't really expect them to do more then the other no matter the cost. You fall off a cliff or get hit by a semi-truck the helmet isn't gonna do much. However for small impact protection to the head I would trust them all for that. I throw away helmets or "shelf" them after impacts and get a new one.

Good luck with your decision.... :fork
