I did the race baffles in my bike today but still have the '08 cat. I'm enjoying the sound and am about to do something about a cat elim and PCIII

I heard a few bad stories about the Akrapovic Y-pipe fitment on this forum.. :fact The Leo vince was perfect..perfect fit and it matches the stock exhaust color perfect. My friend has the picture of it on his camera so I'll post them later.

Nice idle sound but how does it really sound on higher RPMs. I hate to think that that's how you ride around town. Crank that throttle, man.

nice... do you still get about the same sound with the cat there??? cuz i got the baffles... but I dont really wanna take out the cat

 

I don't have any clips with just the baffles..i'd assume the tone is a little different without the cat, maybe a little more throaty

I have neither as well and i don't really mind the popping...i like the power tho, made a bit of difference...would u say so?

 

I like the sound too - the only thing I'm not crazy about after doing my race baffles yesterday is the end cap used to be just a "cap", and now after the race baffle install its part of the main structure and it was tight going back on. I'm worried over time this will stress the 3/16 rivots and they may become loose?

 

I did my research and put jbweld on the rivets before installing. I don't think those suckers are going anywhere for a while

 

heck, for the price i can buy me a boatload of rivets...if your worried u can have someone weld nuts inside the cans and use panhead allens to fasten them...easier to take out for repacking...guess u would just need some thread lock...

 

Do you think you could download say the graves slip on cat eliminator system to the pc3, for the race baffles and y pipe ? What ya think.

 

I asked the same question to the Leo Vince Tech rep and that was his solution. He said it should work very well. He also said to make sure if you get a PCIII to plug the O2 sensor with the supplied plug.

 

I had never seen the LeoVince stuff. Anyone know anything about the GP style exhaust? Here is a pic from the Leo site.

 

I had never paid much attention either after hearing only about companies like Akra, Graves, etc... on here. But man was that Y-pipe nice. No messy weld lines, fit perfect, I have nothing bad to say about it.

 

I think i've found the exhaust I'm going with
