Hey guys, is there an easier way to get to the spark plugs without dropping the radiator? Very time consuming! :dundun:

Ummm...you don't need to drop the radiator, just unbolt the bottom bolt, after that that radiator has enough movement for you to easily get to the spark plugs.

gino, millions of post beat this topic up...... which is better the iridium or regular?

Iridium largely due to the much longer service life. We all know changing plugs on these bikes is a pain in the ass.

Iridiums on my R6 (2005) seemed to improve the gas mileage on it a bit too (like 15 km extra to get to reserve).

iridiums run really well i find.
You can feel the bike pull nice and strong through 2nd gear.

just make sure you don't touch the tip or use a feeler gauge you will stuff the plugs they already come pre-set from NGK.
and it's a really good idea to put them in using a torgue wrench as you should with any spark plugs.

Yeah I did the graves block off plates... with the AIS outta the way the sparks plugs are easy enough to do from the top, no need to mess with radiator.. although it does sound easy to move the radiator.

Wow. I just did this on an '08 (using the iridium plugs). What a pain in the dick. The side and bottom fairings, AND radiator? Ridiculous.
