Does anyone have problems with the spools snapping off on the swingarm? A friend of mine was sitting on his bike while it was on the stand and the spools broke. Luckily it was in his front yard and it didn't do any harm. Me on the other hand, I just got done putting my bike together and the bike fell while I was eating breakfast! So now I have to paint the plastic that I just put on! And to the best of my knowledge no one has even sat on the bike while it was on a stand. Why can't Yamaha put a 8, 10 or even 12 mm bolt back there so you could even put sliders back there?? I was just wondering if many others had this problem.

No but them are some skinny bolts they use. Worried me too. Now I gots this busa and it has BIG mudder fuggin screws cause it weighs the same as my super duty.
No they use a steel bolt. Not aluminum. I was also just wondering if any one else had these problems??
The carrier it's self is aluminum, the bolt is steel. Mine are yamaha spools, not sure what you have.
my yamaha spools broke on me as well!!! no one was sitting on the bike at the time. yamaha warns on the package not to sit on the bike while on a stand but geez, what good is a stand if you can't sit on the bike while its up???
I have never had that happen to me and I sit on the bike while on the stands every now and then
