Can i run the Stock exhaust with Graves stacks and k&n air filter w/o putting on a power commander?

I dont have the money for an exhaust system yet.

You probably can, but keep in mind anytime you go into the airbox with mods and a better air flow fliter it will change your A/F ratio. I'm sure the bike will do ok, but the fuel mileage will suffer and it may run too lean. All you need is a $280 PC III and a map which you can probably find if you look around.

well before you get all bent out of shape, listing the year of your bike might help for an exact answer but like skeeter said it should be ok, but theres no positive way to know except to put it on and check it, if you happen to be in sw florida, i can anylize your exhaust

please analize my exhaust....:bow
here are my exhaust pics...

thanks:thumbup

wow i guess this was a stupid question,

Am i the only one here that doesnt have $2600 for a full exhaust,P.C., ignition module and a quick shifter?

I just wanted to know will the bike run too lean if i use the stock exhaust with stacks and a race filter.
I think most of us are like, "Eh, a little bit of credit card debt won't hurt."

Putting the essentials on our bikes is like providing our literal children with diapers :) It just has to be done.

I just used a 0% card and paid it off over 6 months.

Thanks guys,
I have a 2005 R1 (in red - chicks dig the red ones) and i live in the bay area, s.f.
I was thinking about going the full graves route, full ti sys.,p.c., stacks, ignition module & quick shifter only because graves premaps the PC and the ign. module for you.
BUT i dont have the cash to buy it all at once, so i was wondering which parts to get first.
Would you recommend the graves mapping?

Thanks again

Sure, I've got a stock 04 R-1. When I performed a 10K svc I replaced the air filter. I thought while I was in the air box I'd install the velocity stacks. I noticed a little more torque and no problems. I run an OEM filter (not impressed w/K&N filtering quality). The stock air filter flows well anyways. Its expensive enough burning through quality rubber every 2K.
Be around to enjoy our sport, ride safe.

Thanks again for the info.......
I am still trying to "pull the trigger" and get a full graves ti. system but something always comes up and i cant quite afford it, damn it.
Thanks again for the "tons" of info this website provides.
The 05' red R-One is the best looking bike on the planet. (just throwing that out there)
