So I recently got a 2004 R1 with 23k miles currently reading on the odometer. I have rode it for 500 miles with no problems. I have a graves exhaust with no cat and a power commander 3.

Since I bought it, the R1 sometimes had a rough idle. Sometimes in first gear rolling at 20mph and hitting it wide open throttle, it would hesitate for 2 secs and then slowly roll up and then blast off around 8k rpm. It was weird because I tried it again 2 minutes later and no hesitation.

Well today I decided to see if the Map on my PC3 was right. I checked it and it was the full graves exhaust with stock everything else. Seems right but decided to experiment with the graves slip ons only. Hesitation was completely gone. 1st gear ran like butter but now I have a very low idle, almost under 1k. I was coming to a stop and pulled the clutch and then the engine went completely quiet. I revved it twice and the engine came back. Weird. Coming to another stop light I pulled the clutch in and the engine died again. Tried revving it but nothing happen. Dash and everything was still running and the bike was on but the engine sounded like it shut off. I restarted the bike and it was fine so I rode home.

I just remapped it back to the full graves exhaust and test rode it around the neighborhood and no stalling out. So my question is, is it the TPS problem? Or maybe the map for the PC3 just didn't have enough fuel during low rpms causing the engine to stall?

Sorry if this post was long but I want to be completely clear about this and hoping any experts can chime in and help a fellow rider out. Thanks
