I ran 2ct's for about 2 years. They are good tires for the price. They seemed to last a year per rear tire all street/canyon carving. I went to the pures and now the 3's for a little more confidence on trackdays.

 

I found the chickens strips to be of equal quality on both. :fact

16's are out of date and the 2ct has been upgraded. Go 003R/S, Q3 or PP3. The S20 wouldn't be horrible either

 

I never really jived with the feel of the 016's (the refreshed '016 Pros were a little better), but I really like the S20's on my R1.

 

I use my bike on the streets and twisties, I've never been on the track.

I need durability and have the confidence to lean while on the Canyon roads.

What's a good tire for that?

I listed them...those are going to provide you the most grip with decent life. If you want more life and less grip then take a step down to the S20 and the like. You need to decide if you like a stiffer tire or a softer tire. The Q3 would be the stiffer of the bunch but I couldn't tell you of the other two which is softer. Take the three I recommended and buy one, then when those are done buy a different brand and so on. Only way you're going to find out what you prefer and not what someone else does
