i expect greggs design to be similar but with a better shaped foot on it.

I like the idea but whats the benefit? Weight savings?

 

it's just something unique that only ~10 others will have in the world. the foot pad will probably be a bit larger than stock as well.

I don't fully understand the reasoning behind not being able to weight the stand while sitting on the bike.

Is it purely because the stand is hollow instead of solid cast like the stock stand?

that's what rear stands are for.

 

Fair point. I just always associate ti with being the strongest when in reality that's not always the case.

i am starting a separate thread here for anyone SERIOUSLY interested in being in on a minimum of 10 titanium hand fabricated kickstands.
gregg from greggs customs fame will be making them.

at this stage i guess it's dependent on design ideas from gregg, so if you think this interests you depending on final design, then add to the list.
