Does anybody know the torque specs. on an 02R1 for the front sprocket?

Also does anybody know the size of the front sprocket nut in mm's?

I got my new 15 tooth sprocket in and I am going to install it just as soon as I get off work:D

Thanks

WOW! That was a fast response.
Thanks Shadow One.

I used to have the manual downloaded then my computer crashed and lost everything
:(

Plus I am on 56k dial up, which only connects at 28.8:(

And that file is 12.9 megabytes. I need about 4.0 hours devoted to downloading it.

Thanks again :)

I have bought 2 manuals from this guy allready and have been very happy so you can do that instead if you want. Let me know if you want his info

The socket size is either a 32mm, 30mm, or 27mm. I don't remember which. The diameter of the threads is 22mm.

Socket size ended up being 36 mm.

Thanks for the replys

And thanks winders for informing me that the 98-02 R1 front sprockets are the same.

Forgot to thank you the other day when I posted that question.

I just got through putting it on, but its raining out and I can't go test the new sprocket.:(

One question though, I am assuming the sprocket will go on any way.....I mean, I don't see any distinctive marks on the sprocket like rotation direction or spline alignment.

It is a Vortex sprocket.

Firstbike,

You're welcome.

36mm? That's bigger than I remember. Heck the axle nut is only 32mm. Interesting.....

If you are installing a 530 front sprocket, the direction does not matter. With a 520 front sprocket, the flat side goes to the inside.
