what program or software do u guys use to edit/create videos?..i have some video i want to pick together with some music in the background...i used to have a software that did that but i dont remember what it called...

Windows Movie Maker is free from Microsoft, pretty basic but will do the job

Adobe Premiere!
I also just bought a copy of Adobe premiere elements,It's the user frindly version, very nice.
And has dvd software incorporated in it so you can export it straight to DVD.
A nice little program.



Also i found a program called (Muvee Producer)
This program Rocks!
you can import pics vid clips audio, select style of editing you want click go and its done.
Honestly i can make a complete movie or moving slideshow with audio in less than 5 minutes.
You can find it on limewire or buy it for less than 30 bucks,
IMHO this is the coolest piece of software i own!

If you do not mind a steep learning curve, and want excellent results, go with Adobe Premiere 6.5, or latest version is Pro/7.0. You need a fast machine with lots of RAM and hard drive as there is lots of data to be processed. I have 6.5 and am always impressed with both its quality results, flexibility, and complexity to do even the simplest things.

If you want something easier to learn with excellent results, go with Pinnacle Studio v8, otherwise simple edits can be done with MS MovieMaker that comes with XP.

Studio Version 9 is very intuitive and simple to use. Great results and you can make it as complex as you want to.

You did a good job but the Music overlay is way too loud.....

I also have used Vegas Video, but I prefer Premiere. I highly reccomend it.
