I'm reading over the service manual, and notice that after certain proceedures, in the "remarks" column of the page, there are symbols/pictures that represents the type of lubrication that is required. Does anyone know what they mean?

The Lubrication Types in question are:

LS:

LT:

E:

M:

so on, and so forth. The manual states that you must use the lubrication type LS when installing the rear wheel axle. Well, what type of lube is LS?

Thanks....

Look in the very front of the manual where it shows the different symbols and stuff. It will tell you what the abbreviations mean. For example, LS means lithium soap based grease. Look on page 5 of the 98-99 manual. I know you have a 2002, but the lubes should be the same. Just look in the very first section of the manual. I tried to copy and paste the section for you but was unable to. Hope this helps.
